Byron Donalds said “sir” twice — and the “ma’am” meltdown broke X

Florida gubernatorial candidate Rep. Byron Donalds was mid-answer on a campaign stop when he addressed a trans activist as “sir.” The activist cut him off: “I’m not a sir. I’m a ma’am.”

Donalds apologized once — “I’m listening to the voice, and I hear a sir” — then said “sir” again. The activist fired back “Sir again?!” and stormed off with “Okay ma’am, f*** off.”
