Omar’s deleted Father’s Day tweet calls dad “Nur Said” — same name as her ex-husband

While Homeland Security is still digging through her immigration paperwork after the Oct. 12 search of her D.C. home, a deleted 2013 Father’s Day tweet from Rep. Ilhan Omar is back — and it does not match the name on her father’s public memorials.

In the post she deleted in 2019, Omar wrote “Happy Father’s Day to my aabo Nur Said.” Official records, including a Congressional Black Caucus memorial, call him Nur Omar Mohamed. Her first husband was Ahmed Nur Said Elmi. She has long denied marrying her brother; her office calls that a “baseless, disgusting conspiracy theory.”

Court papers tied to the search warrant identify her as “Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, aka Ilhan Abdullahi Omar.” Omar told Fox she is “Ilhan Abdullahi Omar.” Full write-up is at the New York Post / Fox News Digital.
