“I’ve Had It” sponsor fallout: what’s confirmed after the Charlie Kirk grave joke

Broken Truth · In Other News

Edited clip shared by Josh Walkos on X. Original post.

The laughter has turned into sponsor damage control. Headline USA reports that I’ve Had It hosts Jennifer Welch and Angie Sullivan laughed after Welch read, “We’re digging up Charlie Kirk and doing it again.” Josh Walkos’s November 7 X thread named advertisers, then posted an “Update” graphic crossing out six brands — his apparent claim that they had dropped the show, not proof of six cancellations.

Confirmed: Cash App told Headline USA it had ended its sponsorship after the clip circulated. “We do not condone violence of any kind, and we are no longer sponsors of this podcast,” its spokesperson said.

Confirmed no-current-advertising or affiliation statements, but not six fresh cancellations: American Wire News quoted Boll & Branch saying it “does not currently advertise” with the show “and will not in the future.” MEAWW reported customer-service messages saying Chewy was “no longer affiliated with or sponsoring” the podcast and quoting Lola Blankets: “We no longer work with that podcast.” Those responses do not establish when each relationship ended or why. Claimed by Walkos, with no independent confirmation found: Zenni Optical and NOBL Travel, the other two crossed-out brands. MEAWW embeds Andrew Kolvet’s separate claim that Zenni paused advertising, but does not supply a company statement verifying it. Past episode sponsor listings are not evidence of a cancellation — or agreement with the hosts’ remarks.

The hosts have since apologized, according to Mediaite: “It was an insensitive joke, and we should not have laughed. We regret it, and we apologize.” Their statement also announced an Everytown for Gun Safety donation. Townhall quoted actress Justine Bateman calling the laughter “repulsive” and reported that the segment was edited out after advertiser complaints; that is not a confirmed platform ban.
